Eclectic… yep! That’s us!
The research continues. As it will, I am sure, for the next many, many months as I get my whole head and self around this whole home schooling concept, and us, concept.
For now, we will be pursuing what is considered the Eclectic methodolgy of homeschooling. Essentially, a bit of this, a bit of that, and oh, that bit over there… I am expecting an evolutionary process in this as it becomes more comfortable.
Today: Hello, Canadian History. It has mysteriously disappeared from my own memory, despite having taken it in both public school and university. In other words, we’ll both learn something.
And so it will happen this morning: Contact; Jacques Cartier; begin the book report he was assigned before leaving school over there; Scrabble, of course; and we’ll finish with some times tables bingo for Fruit Loops and Craisins.
I think the beauty of this is, if he gets taken with Jacques Cartier, it could take us in any direction and I am to let it. Perhaps good ol’ Jacques will take up the morning.
Awesome!
