Inspired… Us?
We are a family of 5. Filipes, 44; Me (Squirrel), 39- no way; boy child, Beasley Bean or Sally, age 9; boy child, Guga-Roo or Zip, age 5; and the girl child, lovely Miss May or Fidge, age 3 going on way older than me. Plus one Honey Bear, of course. We live in the mountains. We are active. We love each other despite the chaotic craziness that is our days. We used to live in the Washington, DC area- Northern Virginia. We love our mountains….
Filipes and I work mostly from home. He computer geek-man. Me photographer of portraits and weddings and writer/editor/photographer/publisher- OK, owner- of very small local newspaper.
We are proud, albeit confused, scared, disorganized and pitifully ill-prepared, new initiates into the homeschooling community. We look for, and sometimes find, inspiration in our work and we look for, and often find, inspiration here at home with our family. It is often crazy. Often chaotic. We yell. We argue. We love our kids. We think they love us…
We are getting better at finding inspiration in this craziness and chaos. We didn’t used to. We are getting better at enjoying the moment and what is, right now. We didn’t used to.
We are about connecting to other parents and families who find the inspiration in the everyday, crazy, chaotic moments in this parenting journey.
